Nicole and cameron were married on 7th March 2009. The ceremony was at Latrobe Chapel, and this would have to be the first time that I have actaully had a ceremony start 15 mins early as Nicole arrived early and was eager to get down the isle to Cameron!
After the ceremony we decided to hit the pub for some chillaxin’ giving the kids the opportunity to mingle together before we headed into southbank for some fun and games. Now considering Nicole is not that keen on having her photo taken, she did a bloody good job! The bridal party were full of laughs and we all had an awesome time.
Now I have to give a shout out to Dell’ Ugo on Grey St & Little Stanley St. This Restuarant is just amazing and I had no idea that they also did weddings. Amazing food, ambience and Soula and her staff are so friendly. If you are looking for somewhere out of the norm for your reception, you have to check these guys out!
Well it has been a little while since XSiGHT Brisbane has been able to post as we have been crazily busy with beautiful brides and grooms all across Queensland and Bridal Expos and most recently the QLD Professional Photography awards. Both Justine and I had prints in the wedding category and were eager to see the prints being judged. We were extremely happy to come home with 6 silver awards between us. Pete Dillon our fabulous digital artist also received 6 silver awards with 2 of them being with distinction.
This was justine’s first year as a member of the AIPP and also her first competition that she has entered. Justine has been travelling to many weddings with me and in the last 12 months and has captured some amazing images. She entered 3 images into the awards and all 3 of them scored silver awards. I was extremely proud of her to acheive this in her first year.
It was with great pleasure and excitement last night at the awards dinner held at Victoria Park, that I got to watch Justine be awarded QLD Emerging Photographer of the year 2009. Many of you would know that we have worked extremely hard over the last 18 months to get to where we are and this is something to show that the hard work is paying off.
Justine has had quite a few requests from couples to photograph their weddings in her own right recently and I am trying to convince her to take a step up, so watch this space!
Also a well done to Pete Dillon who received 2009 runnerup QLD commercial photographer of the year. Go Team Go!!
What a day!! And I’m not even talking about how hot it was!!
We were very pleased that Mark was keeping cool at home with he’s best mates and family while they kept the sweat of nerves and heat off he’s face.
Chi was luckily enough to spend the morning getting ready in her extremely air conditioned suite at the Observatory Hotel. She looked absolutely amazing and we couldn’t keep her from smiling!
We all then headed over to Observatory Hill at Milson’s point for the ceremony.
The view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge was an amazing backdrop to have while Mark & Chi said I-do in front of loved ones who were very thankful to the couple for the vintage hand held fans.
We captured some great location shoots at Observatory Hill, and then headed over to the waterfront venue Watersedge where the guests were treated with stunning views of the city and the bridge once again.
The highlight of the reception for us would have to be Mark’s brother’s emotional speech done via DVD while he took care of he’s new born baby back at home, as well as Chi’s sister’s sending Mark on a “Amazing Race” around the reception.
Looking forward to showing you guys the rest of the images from the day.
The day started with Omar and the groomsmen, which was full of laughter, jokes and the boys just being boys.
We then headed over to Daniella’s where we saw how amazing she looked in her gorgeous gown.
The ceremony was held at the only one of its kind in Sydney, the stunning Old St Thomas Chapel Narellan, where the excited couple exchanged personally written vows in front of family and friends.
It was then off to the city to Cockle Bay, for location and as a result captured some amazing and fun moments.
The reception was held at Doltone House, Sylvania Waters were the guests entertained with Belly Dancers and more laughter.
